IMMACULATE comes to a conclusion in the very piece that it’s named for.
The Black American identity is represented best in this triptych “IMMACULATE”. Here we have the figure of an infant unswaddled in between two profiled figures. The idea is one of sacrifice, persistence, love, and rebirth. IMMACULATE gives face to the seemingly hopeless inception of our identity and turns it into a triumphant overture of the human experience.
