"It feels sometimes, like, what did I risk my life for?"

Sacrifice? Crusade? Good and bad have never looked more alike and more different. The promise that justice is delivered to those who follow the laws of the land has been rescinded. The checks and balances that exist in our government are meant to ensure balance, but capitalist influence has altered government rule. Allegories for injustice exist throughout literary, and visual art history, but only recently have we seen this twisted story play out in real time. It took less than 4 years for it to happen, and it will take even less time for the individuals, who were instructed BY LAW to prosecute them, see themselves on the opposite end of this persecution. Our responsibility is to ensure that ALL people are held to the SAME standards of the law. We have failed ourselves.
