“Josseli Barnica should be alive today. She should be carving a pumpkin with her now four-year-old daughter…”

Women's reproductive health is an argument that should not exist. As much as people revere and respect pregnancy, they refuse to grant women autonomy in its creation. Since the overturn of Roe v. Wade reproductive health for women is in constant jeopardy. From patient deaths due to hospitals hesitation to treat miscarriages, all the way to legislation like the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2023, the battle for reproductive autonomy is often lost due to a lack of resources, and a misogynistic idea that pregnancy is a privilege that cannot be denied.
